Rita Uljanova
I found inspiration to my work from traveling around the world, meeting people from different cultures. The world is full of colours, it depends on the context and the eyes who see it - that's why I say "a clay pot is not only a clay pot ". I also get inspired by my own challenges in life and it can be a good therapy to knead a large lump of clay. I studied "Art, design, and clay" at the university in Notodden /Telemark from 2011-2013. The study ended up with a bachelor with the title" clay pots inspired from exotic and primitive cultures " I use the old tecnic "handcoiling ". I am proud to use this because it's one of the oldest traditional ways in this field. Don't hesitate to contact me if you want further information about my work, prices, etc. As you see in the photos some works are already sold, in that case, I'll make a new one for you, but it will probably not be exactly the same. If you have a wish to learn how to make your own clay pot and you live in the neighborhood, I will be happy to teach you. Or if you prefere, you can design your pot and ask me to make it. I was so lucky to take part in the woodfire burning ceramic happening in "Anagamaovnen " in Kjerra Fossepark near Larvik, June 2019 and 2020. I have been a member of " Norske brukskunstnere" since 2022
